Guide to Catching Peacock Bass & Other Exotics

The Amazon Basin contains one third of the world’s rainforests and encompasses three fourths of Brazil alone and portions of seven other South American countries. The Amazon is the largest river in the world in terms of water volume and has over 15,000 tributaries. To further put it in perspective, eleven of those Amazon tributaries are each larger than the Mississippi River in the U.S.

There are 3,000 species of fish - about one-third of the worlds total - in the Amazon. This app extensively covers the most exciting fish in the world, the peacock bass species, plus 13 other major sportfish species that anglers may catch in these waters. To successfully fish the remote and massive areas with their challenging logistics and minimal information available from those experts with angling experience throughout the Basin is nearly impossible without the help of this guide.

Award-winning outdoors/travel writer, photographer and angler Larry Larsen shows you how to catch exciting peacock bass and other trophy fish in the Amazon and where to find the best tributaries and outfitters to take you there. Larry provides tips on timing, planning, preparation, fantastic wildlife viewing, safety and how-to information for catching fish.
